Join us for an exciting class learning all about ricotta and rosé!
Led by the Pedestrian Wine and Cheese Shop's owner and cheese monger, Bill Reed, this hands-on class will guide you through the art of making classic fresh ricotta, an incredibly versatile cheese perfect for a variety of recipes. Bill will take you step-by-step through the process, sharing tips and techniques to create this deliciously creamy cheese that will impress your friends, family, and most importantly, yourself!With over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Bill has successfully owned and operated businesses in NYC and now in Chattanooga, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the class.But that’s not all! We’re thrilled to have their in-house wine sommelier, Liz Byrne, join us. Liz will enlighten you about the fascinating world of rosé wine, explaining what makes it special and showcasing different styles, from still to sparkling, allowing you to appreciate the diverse flavors rosé has to offer. Think of this as two classes in one!
Please note: This is a BYOR (Bring Your Own Rosé) event! You can pick up your rosé at Pedestrian Wine and Cheese anytime before the class. Just remember to chill it before you arrive! We'll have ice buckets to keep it cold during the class. We can’t wait to share our passion for both fresh ricotta and rosé with you. Join us for a fun and educational evening!
About the teachers:
Bill Reed has been a prominent figure in the food and beverage hospitality industry for over 20 years, with a rich background that includes owning and operating various projects in New York. Throughout his career, Bill has collaborated with celebrity chefs and renowned comedians, while also hosting neighborhood events, always prioritizing the guest experience. His passion for hospitality and the joy of shared moments fuels his entrepreneurial spirit. After relocating to Chattanooga’s Northshore area four years ago, Bill launched his latest venture, Pedestrian Wine and Cheese. Here, he draws upon his extensive experience to create a distinctive bottle shop experience that reflects his commitment to quality and community.
Liz Byrne is a WSET Level 3-certified sommelier with a proven track record in wine curation, program development, and guest education. Passionate about making the world of wine accessible and enjoyable, Liz excels in leading tastings, classes, and educational events tailored to all levels of expertise. Whether introducing newcomers to the basics or delving into terroir and structure with seasoned enthusiasts, she aims to create welcoming and informative experiences that connect people to their wine. As the shop sommelier and wine buyer for Pedestrian Wine and Cheese, Liz is dedicated to curating a balanced and exciting selection of wines while fostering a vibrant community around wine appreciation. A lifelong learner, she approaches every aspect of her work with curiosity, clarity, and care.
