Rick Baskin & Layin Down The Law

Rick Baskin - Harmonica/ Vocals - born in Hayward, CA began playing harmonica at age 16. The harmonica has been a trusted friend for over 50 years. He has shared the stage with Maria Muldaur (Midnight at the Oasis), Harvey Mandel, Zakiya Hooker, and the legendary saxophonist Jules Broussard. You can find Rick performing at various Bay Area clubs, The Bistro, Yoshi’s, Freight and Salvage and most Saturday nights you can catch him at Lounge3411 in Oakland. In his spare time Rick is a successful trial attorney.

Miz Dee - Vocalist As a child Miz Dee grew up listening to her mother, a church choir director and organist. Miz Dee has shared the stage, opening for Koko Taylor, James Brown, Aaron Neville, Gladys Knight, Ruth Brown, and Stills and Nash. Miz Dee has performed in Europe at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Venice Jazz and Umbria Jazz Festivals. Locally she belted out the blues at the Sonoma Jazz Festival, opening for Smokey Robinson, Michael McDonald, and Kool & The Gang. Miz Dee often says "it takes love and music to make the world a better place."
