Richmond ZOMBIE BASH (2026)

On Friday, February 27, 2026, survivors and zombies alike are invited to descend upon Fallout for a night that celebrates all things undead.

Presented by the legendary Richmond Zombie Walk and co-produced by AfterDarkRVA.com, Markster Con Productions and DC Creators, the ZOMBIE BASH brings the spirit of the annual Zombie Walk into a full-scale indoor, immersive party experience!

The ZOMBIE BASH is part of Richmond's APOCALYPSE WEEKEND (21+) - two nights of events, both hosted at FALLOUT RVA!

Hosted annually in Carytown, the Richmond ZOMBIE WALK is the area's longest running and bloodiest zombie-themed event! Founded in 2005, the Richmond ZOMBIE WALK (returning Oct. 24, 2026 for it's 21st year) draws hundreds of spectators to witness the massive horde shamble down Cary Street, fully embraced by the Carytown area.

NOTE: Those receiving on-site make-up will not be eligible to enter the Zombie Contest. For those wanting to enter the contest we ask that they arrive aready infected!

Step into the outbreak and show us your most terrifying transformation during the Zombie Costume Contest at Richmond's ZOMBIE BASH (hosted by Chiara Scuro). Whether you’re a freshly turned walker, a long-rotted horror, a ruthless zombie hunter, or any other apocalypse-ready character, all zombie-related looks are welcome. The darker, more creative, and more unsettling your costume, the better your chances of standing out in the horde. Come prepared — survival isn’t judged, but style is.

NOTE: Attendees wishing to enter the contest are strongly encouraged to arrive already “infected,” as zombies created by On-Site FX artists will not be eligible for the contest.

Richmond's APOCALYPSE WEEKEND (21+) spans two nights and two different events!

• Friday, Feb. 27th: the outbreak and invasion begin with the ZOMBIE BASH!
• Saturday, Feb. 28: Radio transmissions report, snow, high winds & deadly cold .... sounds like a party with the annual NUCLEAR WINTER! Ride eternal, shiny & chrome to your favorite bunker in the bottom for post-apocalyptic shenanigans to warm any wasteland marauder's savage soul!

NOTE: NUCLEAR WINTER (the night AFTER Zombie Bash) is a fully-immersive post-apocalyptic nightlife experience. Attendees to this event may experience exposure to the following: cold temperatures, loud noises, shouting, strobe/flashing lights, smoke machine fog, sparks & general debris associated with decor. Closed toed shoes are advised.

Those attending NUCLEAR WINTER (21+) are requried to have a separate ticket, which can be purchased via (not available yet)

From flirty and fun to dark, eerie, and gory or just downright campy, this contest celebrates zombie-inspired pin-up looks in all their forms. Grab your favorite photographer and makeup artist (or do it all yourself), get delightfully dolled-up in decay, and submit your best undead pin-up shots for a chance to be crowned among Richmond’s top Zombie Pin-Ups.

This creepy Call For Entries incorporates THREE contests with VOTING for "People's Choice happening during ZOMBIE BASH on Feb. 27:

• PEOPLE'S CHOICE (Contest #1): Organizers will pick one submission from each entry which will then be printed and displayed during the Richmond ZOMBIE BASH (21+) on Feb. 27, 2026. Attendees will then be able to vote for their favorite entries (in person) during the ZOMBIE BASH. Pin-Up Contestants are NOT required to attend. After all votes are counted there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners announced.

• ONLINE FAVORITE (Contest #2): All entries will be displayed online and be eligible for online voting to the general public over a 10-day period. After all votes are counted there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners announced.

• PANEL OF JUDGES (Contest #3): A secret panel of judges (i.e. juried), picked by the contest organizers, will view all entries picking overal winners. The secret panel of judges will be revealed when winners are announced. NOTE: Juried winners will not be based on (or influenced by) "People's Choice" or "Online Favorite" contest winners.

DC Creators collaborates with local establishments offering one-of-a-kind visually captivating atmospheres, featuring unique face & body paint experiences such as their newest "Sip & Body Paint"(PG) events at Fallout RVA.
