Richard's Run For Life returns to Ybor City on Friday, November 6, bringing the community together for an unforgettable evening of racing, walking and celebrating life.
Whether you're running the 5K, joining the One Block Walk or cheering from Centennial Park, every step supports the Richard & Melanie Gonzmart Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program at Tampa General Hospital, helping provide specialized care for young people facing cancer.
Then, keep the celebration going after the finish line with food, beer, wine and favorites from Columbia Restaurant, Ulele and Casa Santo Stefano.
Earlier this year, Richard Gonzmart, 4th Generation Caretaker of Tampa’s 1905 Family Of Restaurants (and the event’s originator), made a $1 million gift for the TGH program along with his wife, Melanie.
The Richard & Melanie Gonzmart Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program at the Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute provides comprehensive, specialized cancer care for patients aged 15–39. As one of Florida’s leading academic health systems, we ensure every young person has access to world-class care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
