A wonderful live music event for both acoustic and classical guitar lovers and the musically curious. Featuring Richard’s original, haunting guitar music including his newly released track” The Art of Levitation”.
Indie-classical composer & concert guitarist Richard Durrant will also play music from the High Baroque, the English Baroque and (in a fascinating homage to John Renbourn & Bert Jansch) the English Folk Baroque.Richard will also be performing Turina’s Fandanguillo on Julian Bream’s guitar (Hector Quine No.2) that he used for his debut recording in 1955.
Durrant’s intriguingly unpretentious style of delivery should not belie the emotional depth of his music; witness the onstage persona of an informative, friendly stand-up and the playing of one of the world’s most inventive, guitar virtuosos.
As heard live on BBC Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and 6 Music (featured by Cerys Matthews, Tom Robinson, Sean Rafferty & Petroc Trelawney)
