His debut album, Prussian Blue (1973), was among the first major Australian “singer-songwriter” albums, featuring timeless tracks like “I Wanna Be A Survivor,” a song that has proven prophetic as his music continues to resonate across generations.

Richard Clapton's influence is undeniable, having mentored and produced for legendary acts like INXS and Cold Chisel. His hits, including “Girls on the Avenue,” “Capricorn Dancer,” and “Deep Water,” are still beloved today, and his storytelling continues to captivate audiences. As we celebrate his enduring legacy, this evening will also highlight his latest work, Music Is Love (1966-1970), a heartfelt tribute to the music of peace, love, and understanding from the late 1960s.
