Ribbon Cutting - Casey's Ice Cream Cart

Join us on July 16th at 12:30PM to celebrate a new chapter, new friends, and of course- delicious ice cream!
New here? Here's the scoop:
After COVID, Presque Isle shut down all its concessions, requiring visitors to leave the beach for food. To address this, Casey’s Ice Cream Cart launched in 2024, to the joy of beachgoers, kayakers, and park rangers. Today, the cart remains Presque Isle's sole ice cream vendor and a favorite caterer for special events in Northwest Pennsylvania. The cart's nostalgic look and classic menu is undeniably charming and complements all sorts of environments- from weddings to the beachside.
This year, Casey is launching a new program called Casey's Friends: a summer job program for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program operates a second ice cream cart at the Presque Isle Lighthouse, in partnership with OVR, Opportunities Unlimited, and Lake Erie Lights. Because of this trifecta partnership, for the first time, her business will have consistent hours! Casey is so excited to share her love for people, Erie summers, and sweet treats while helping youth learn essential workplace skills. It's a simple, sweet, and joyful environment (aka the best summer job ever).
