Ribble + Tamsin Quin

Ed celebrates another turn round the sun today so has picked a line up that is both up for a party and close to his heart.
Headliners Ribble take care of the "Up For A Party" part in spades. Based now in Salisbury they comprise two Northern men, a fiddle, a guitar, and a large beard. So far, so what? Well, add in a 90s drum synth, some mighty arrangements of meaty fiddle tunes, some songs, some wrong turns, battle scars earned busking the streets of Salisbury, a barrowload of end-of-the-pier banter and the feeling that your mad rum-soaked uncle is roaring at you to dance on the tables, then you’ll get what we mean. Pack your dancing pants for this one.
The "Close To His Heart" aspect is the return of Tamsin Quin to a Thursday Night Music Club stage, for what will be her first ever set at The Castle.
Ed has been putting Tamsin on line-ups since before she was probably old enough to be in the venues. First as a a solo "Folk Pixie" with a battered old Gibson guitar and some gloriously whimsical songs, then as part of folk harmony trio The Lost Trades, and now back to solo, with a newer, self-made guitar and even more gloriously whimsical songs.
Tamsin offers upbeat witty songwriting with infectious charm by the spoonful. She delivers unique and charismatic Folk/Americana vibes with a twist of intriguing storytelling.
