RIBA International: Madrid City Building Tours DAY 1

Join RIBA Europe in Madrid for engaging building tours and a networking cocktail reception, as we build on the success of RIBA Europe's events in Paris and Milan earlier in 2024.

RIBA Europe Chapter are delighted to announce its autumnal and third event for 2024, taking place in the beautiful city of Madrid, Spain.

Following the success of the recent Paris and Milan events, RIBA Europe have further organised an architecturally detailed programme for RIBA members and enthusiasts alike. This will be a truly, unmissable event.

Spanning over a two day period, the focus will be on the transformation of specific existing buildings and unique places in the city. Stops will include; palace building tours, royal collections, engaging lectures, colloquiums, local building tours and finishing with a networking cocktail reception.

Agenda

Day 1 - Friday 25 October

• 12.30 Visit to COAM - Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid.

Welcome and introduction by RIBA Europe Chapter, with a presentation of the design ideas and projects details of Torres de Colón by the architect Luis Vidal.

• 13:30 Building tour at Torres de Colón. Meeting point main entrance.

• 16:00 Guided tour at the Royal Palace of Madrid and the Museum of Royal Collections.

The Royal Palace location is Santiago Gate, Plaza de Oriente. Museum building designed by Architects Tuñón and Mansilla. Words by Arch Emilio Tuñón

• 18:30 Networking Cocktail Reception and presentations by Architect Fenwick - Iribarren
