About this Event
UIA World Congress: RIBA Build It Together - Women in Architecture Panel
The RIBA session at the UIA World Congress of Architects will showcase the landmark , commissioned by RIBA and independently produced by the Fawcett Society. The report examines the experiences of women across the built environment workforce and sets out a series of recommendations to create a more equitable profession.
Twenty years after RIBA’s previous commissioned report, Why Do Women Leave Architecture? (2003), Build It Together (2025) assesses the progress made and explores whether the challenges identified then persist today.
In both the UK and globally, gender inequity remains a deeply rooted structural issue, directly affecting career progression and opportunities for women in architecture.
Valerie Vaughan-Dick, Chief Executive of RIBA, will present the report’s key findings and provide a progress update. She will then host a high-profile panel of leading international architects to explore the actions needed to drive lasting and meaningful change across the profession.
This event offers a timely and critical platform for dialogue, focused on turning evidence into action and shaping a more inclusive future for architecture.
Speakers to be announced soon.
