The vibrant and diverse cultures of Latin American are represented on this celebratory program presented by Contemporary Youth Orchestra and CYOverture. From a Peruvian folk song originating in the Andes Mountains to the Argentinian countryside to the Mexican ballroom dance halls, these songs reflect each composer's love of their native people, culture and stories. This concert features compositions by Antonio Carlos Jobim (Brazil), Carlos Chavez (Mexico), Alberto Ginastera (Argentina), Arturo Marquez (Mexico), and Daniel Robles (Peru).
