G$MONTANA [GigaBeat/GN/ProjectMayhem/Fraktured - Miami]

G$Montana is also known as Geo Lopez has been immersed in the Florida music scene since 1997, first as a music lover and then an event promoter. In 2004, Geo Lopez created a music promotion company called, Project Mayhem. He started a new level of promoting events and took on the Winter Music Conference (WMC) in 2004. He began a series of events, known as Project Mayhem Industry Socials featured during WMC that has since been successful.

As Geo was surrounded continuously by artists in and out of the studio, it was no surprise when he decided to learn the art of DJing. He picked up the techniques quite quickly and started performing at local events. He had such a great reception to his sets he began thinking about producing music he loved. He was branded with a DJ name, G$Montana which was thanks to friend DJ Brazen, in April 2014. Production quickly followed, and his debut original track GSPOT came out October 20, 2015. The release also featured a remix by Wes Smith that was available on Beatport under GigaBeat Records. This release ranked #1 as an EP and hit the Top 100 charts at #26 under GigaBeat Records. The EP featured a remix by Wes Smith that is included in the video game Table Top Racing World Tour.

Following the success of his first track, G$Montana decided to join forces with an old school friend and fellow producer Neuroziz. They created their first original track together which was released on February 4, 2016, called, "Shake'm". The EP ranked #7 after only one week on the Beatport Top 10 Breakbeat chart. It also included a remix by The PhatKidz released under The Pooty Club Records. G$Montana is thoroughly enjoying his partnership with Neuroziz and looks forward to what they will create together, but he still continues to rock the dance floors with his Miami bass flavor.

DJ ICON [PLUR:AF, Illeven Eleven, Opulent Temple, Fraktured - San Francisco]

Without doubt, DJ ICON has become an iconic figure in the U.S. dance music industry and beyond. With a career spanning two decades, she has captivated audiences across the globe with her signature heavy-hitting cross-genre sound that mixes up Breakbeat and Bass Music with Electro/Future House. With her magnetic stage presence, skillful DJ mixes and successful releases, it’s no wonder why she’s been dubbed one of the leading ladies of her domain.

Starting in 1996 at age 16, ICON diligently rose through the ranks of the San Francisco underground at a time when female DJs and promoters were few. In just a few years, her skills and growing reputation had already landed her numerous residencies in San Francisco, as well as a steady flow of stateside and international bookings. ICON has also gained success in radio and television in addition to rocking dancefloors. Among her accolades are releases on well-known labels, features in two TV series, a spot in Shejay’s “Top 100 Female DJs”, being voted one of San Francisco’s best in the Nitevibe “Top 10 DJ Dreamteam”, scoring a coveted sponsorship from Pioneer Pro DJ and building a large fanbase on her social media and Soundcloud pages.

ICON has toured the world performing throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe and Asia at world renowned clubs such as 1015 Folsom and Ruby Skye in San Francisco, Limelight in NYC, Fabric and Matter in London, and Avalon in LA; as well as world-class music festivals such as Coachella Music Festival, Ultra Music Festival, Burning Man and Fuel Festival in Singapore. ICON has shared stages with top tier artists such as Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Ladytron, Paul Oakenfold, Adam Freeland, Armand Van Helden, Deekline & Wizard, The Stanton Warriors, The Freestylers, Evil Nine, Elite Force, Uberzone, Bassbin Twins, DJ Icey, DJ Rap and many more.

Aside from being busy behind the decks, ICON has also been busy behind the scenes promoting events in San Francisco and NYC over the years. She has also coproduced many events with former affiliations Reverb Records, Femme DJs and Sister SF, the first ever female DJ collective of which she was an integral member. Currently she is a core member of Opulent Temple, a predominant Burning Man theme camp and DJ collective that is responsible for producing a large scale sound camp annually at Burning Man and many other events in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Boise, New York, London and more.

ICON has had extensive history on the radio waves with past residencies and guest spots on respected dance music programs such as Thump Funk and Boombox Mix Sessions on SiriusXM, Liquid Todd’s Solid State on K-ROCK in NYC (Infinity Broadcasting); IBreaks and NuBreaks in London, Radio Record in Russia; and a plethora of dance music radio shows in her hometown, including House Nation on Wild 94.9 FM, Subsonic on Live 105, Zendada on Energy 92.7, and Future Breaks on KUSF. She has also made her way onto the small screen: In 2001, she was featured as one of twelve up-and-coming American DJs in “Disc Jockey,” a 12-part documentary series that aired on Showtime™, alongside artists such as Reid Speed, DJ Craze, the late Disco D, Stareyes and more. In 2004, she was the DJ on the internationally syndicated MTV™ series “The Wade Robson Project,” a dance competition hosted by the self-titled super choreographer.

Lastly, ICON’s production endeavors have proven to be as exciting as her DJ career. Her releases on Illeven Eleven Records: “Welcome To My Dancefloor” with Dustin Hulton featuring Nikki Carabello and “Wha?” a collaboration with Bay Area producer Ground_Control had steller reviews and support by leading artists in the industry. “Dancefloor” charted at #8 and #22 on the Beatport Breakbeat and Electro charts with a great review in Mixmag. The KMFX remix of “Wha?” charted at #12 on the Beatport Breakbeat chart. ICON & GC have also done remixes of “Reload” for Deekline and Ed Solo feat. Million Dan on Rat Records and “Draggin” for Enough Weapons on Vibrance Recordings. Her latest release is a boombastic 3-track EP with Breakbeat legend Deekline on his Hot Cakes label.

So what’s next for this powerhouse bass princess? More productions, remixes and mixes are in the works, as she continues to make her mark in the worldwide dance music industry. And if the last twenty years have proven anything, the future will continue to bring big things from this driven and versatile artist.
