Adorio is an emerging DJ/Producer from Mexico, now based in Chicago—the birthplace of house music. His passion for music began in the streets of Irapuato, Guanajuato, where he sang Spanish Christmas carols with neighbors and friends, accompanying them on a new set of drums. After moving to the U.S., he picked up the trumpet and joined his school’s marching band.
After years of trial and error in search of his true calling, Adorio rediscovered his love for music. Once a critic of electronic music, he eventually immersed himself in the scene, learning to DJ while working as a stagehand for a mentor. Initially mastering the craft with CDs, house music quickly became his true passion. With a blend of modern and classic sounds, Adorio has built a name for himself in Chicago’s challenging, unforgiving scene. He has now joined forces with I Love House Music Chicago and the legendary Chosen Few DJs, serving as resident DJ for ILHM and setting the vibe for their shows around the city.
Influenced by house legends like Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, Mike Dunn, Terry Hunter, Emmaculate, Dennis Ferrer, Glenn Underground, and Ron Carroll, Adorio’s career has soared. He has even shared the booth with many of these pioneers. Now 30, this immigrant who arrived with practically nothing is showing there are no limits to what he can achieve.
Adorio’s love, passion, and dedication to the true Chicago house sound shine through in every set. Whether taking you on a journey through jackin’, soulful, deep, garage, or classic house, from his residencies at Cerise atop the Virgin Hotel to late-night sets at Spybar, he’ll keep you moving all night long.
