The Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry will celebrate the centennial of Route 66 with our newest exhibit Rhyming & ROMPing on Route 66. For this event, we will have exhibit tours, a book signing with Jimmie Tramel for “Staying Gold,” the book he co-wrote about S.E. Hinton’s “The Outsiders,” the presentation of the awards for the Route 66 Poem Contest, a reading of the poems, the opening of the new Locust Grove room, music by Tom Henry, a Matchbox car race in front of the museum, refreshments, door prizes, and more.
