Damn the man… save the Empire!!On April 8, we’re turning parts of downtown Chilliwack into our own version of Empire Records for Rex Manning Day.
This is a scrappy, artist-led community event celebrating independent shops, punk creativity, and nostalgia.
🛍 Shop the Scene
Participating local businesses will be hosting 90s-inspired sales, promos, and micro-events throughout the day, including 90's t-shirt bar, battle jacket station, airbrush tattoos, and more!
We’re also running a cross-shop discount:
Bring a receipt from one participating business and get 10% off at another participating location on April 8.
Support local. Discover new shops. Build your own weird little tour of downtown. (Participating businesses will be announced on this event page.)
🎸 The After Party
The day ends with a Rex Manning Day Party at Scarecrow Ink from 6–10 PM.
Expect a chaotic little celebration of art, music, and 90s nostalgia featuring live music from:

- Cowboy Curty and the Broken Strings
- Blake Pinder
- Mervis Blue

Bar + food
