Rewriting the American Dream: A Short Film + Fireside Chat
At Sueños Social Club, we're about turning dreams into reality. This month, we're sitting with a harder truth: for so many right now, dreaming feels like a privilege that's been interrupted.
This Leo Season, we're opening with a short film, then gathering for an honest conversation about staying present while ICE raids tear families apart across this country. A nation built on immigrants' backs is now turning against the very people who built it. We're not here to look away from that.
This isn't our typical social. It's space to be real about what it feels like to move through everyday life (work, errands, school pickups) while our neighbors and loved ones are being detained and separated from their families.
Together, we'll hold space for:
- Everyday impact — how this is showing up in our communities and relationships, and what it takes to keep showing up for our own lives anyway
- Collective grounding — practices for staying present without bypassing what's real
- Community care in action — tangible ways to show up for each other right now
Pull up a seat, break bread, and connect with fellow Dream-Makers who refuse to look the other way. Come as you are: to grieve, to organize, to rest, or just to not be alone in this.
