UTC-04:00Location
Flow Space - Yoga and Arts | Gainesville, FL
Join us as Harley offers a thoughtful and reflective process that guides you in revisiting your past and reimagining, or rewriting it.
🕵️ You’ll use Harley’s ‘Rewrite the Story’ guidebook and engaging exercises to spark a creative mode of self-reflection and investigation to rewrite your OWN story!
🎭 The 6 weeks culminates in a storytelling event to share your creations with invited guests on the last session. (sharing is optional)
Past participants of this work have said this was exactly the medicine they needed when going through a big transition in life, a journey of self-healing, or even going back to parts of their life that they want to envision differently, or turn a challenging time into art.
👯♂️ Each session includes dance/movement therapy techniques before being given dedicated time to journaling, and an integration process.
🧘♀️ You’ll be deeply heard by an experienced space holder and other participants in a co-created space where any way you show up is accepted with loving arms.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ “It helped me wrap my head around some family stories that I’d been thinking about for a long time but hadn’t really processed. It gave me tools for how to gather my thoughts and feelings and turn that into a piece of writing, which gave me a sense of peace with that part of my history.” - Brock Rylander
🌸 All are welcome, however, this workshop should not be used in replacement of therapy. This is a great introduction into the world of arts and health, fostering a supportive mental space for beginning a new project.
Wear whatever you feel comfortable doing minimal movement and somatic work in, and something to write or type with.
🦋 Meet your guide:
Harley O'Neill (M.A., Arts in Medicine) is a movement coach and dance artist with a background in history, research, film production, and creative arts facilitation. She is a dancer-in-residence with UF Health Shands in Gainesville, Florida, where she teaches community classes for aging elders as well as people with neurological movement disorders such as Parkinsons and MS. She runs the arts advocacy and wellbeing organization Spatially-Fed, using the power of the arts and her own artistic direction for research, arts advocacy, festival productions, and project management to drive forward messaging and action on equitable community health initiatives.
Her coaching and consultation work now constantly aspires to make performance more accessible, informed, and meaningful to dancers, actors, performers, public speakers, and leadership teams alike through tools that connect physical embodiment practices to emotional, musical, and theatrical expression from the inside out. Finding ways to bridge mindful somatics and storytelling has become her ultimate practice. She enjoys producing choreography and movement-based art that studies the ever-evolving dance realms of contemporary, jazz, and hip hop, and how they fuse with urban flow styles both ancient and emerging. Her training consists of practices from all over the world, from contemporary in Sweden to East African in Tanzania, to hip hop and jazz and tap in NYC, LA, Beijing, and Sydney. Incorporating the cultural awareness and rich dance history she has learned from her travels has allowed her choreographic ideas to remain vibrant, knowledgeable, and versatile- which she considers personal responsibilities to uphold as an artist and mentor in the performance world.
