The global community is grappling with an unprecedented series of critical challenges: the pandemic, rising food and energy costs, new and ongoing conflicts, and the impacts of climate change are deepening poverty and vulnerability worldwide. These global crises are underscored by a silent crisis in education. The increase in learning poverty and skills deprivation means SDG 4 is off track and the livelihoods of individuals, communities, and nations are under threat.
An education transformation would dramatically change this picture, but we need to stop talking about education alone. We need deep and substantive cross-sectoral collaboration within and outside of education to create a more sustainable, prosperous, and equitable world.
At this informal meeting, we'll discuss how to make the Transforming Education Summit truly transformational by mobilizing member states, donors, CSOs, youth, and others to support and take forward “win-win” solutions for education and beyond, as well as a new global finance compact.
Please join us for this critical discussion on breakthrough solutions for education and how we can all collaborate to take collective action for people and planet.
Please note due to space limitations we may not be able to offer in-person seating to all those who register. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be live-streamed (link forthcoming).
