About this Event
Rewired Together: Education Summit
Join Us at Rewired Together: Education Summit!
Rewired Together is a two-day, in-person professional learning summit focused on relational intelligence in education.
This summit brings together grades 6-12 and university educators, along with school leaders and community partners, to explore how learning environments are shaped, and how they can be intentionally redesigned to support clarity, stability, and sustainable growth.
This experience is grounded in neuroscience, relational dynamics, and applied leadership practice. It is designed for professionals who want more than surface-level strategies and are ready to understand the underlying conditions that drive learning, behavior, and culture.

What is Relational Intelligence
Host: Kim Galske
Info: Most people are taught how to manage tasks. Very few are taught how to understand people, including themselves. Relational Intelligence is the ability to recognize, interpret, and respond to what’s happening beneath the surface—your thoughts, your emotions, and your patterns—and how those dynamics show up in every interaction you have. In this workshop, we break down what Relational Intelligence actually is (not the buzzword version), why it matters in high-pressure environments like education, and how a lack of it leads to miscommunication, burnout, and reactive decision-making. Through guided reflection and real-time application, you’ll begin to see the patterns driving your behavior, and how those patterns impact the people around you.
🕑: 10:30 AM - 11:20 AM
The Brain Behind Behavior
Host: Kurt Wismer
Info: Most environments don’t break down because of bad intentions—they break down because people don’t understand what’s happening in the brain. This session strips neuroscience down to what actually matters in real-world environments, focusing on how the nervous system drives behavior and why most reactions we see in others (and ourselves) aren’t conscious choices but automatic responses. We’ll explore the difference between safety and compliance, why awareness must come before behavior change, and how adults often escalate situations without realizing it. When you understand what the brain is doing under pressure, conflict, disengagement, and shutdown start to make sense—and more importantly, you begin to see how your own state is shaping the environment around you in real time.
🕑: 11:20 AM - 11:40 AM
Route Check: Integration Walk
Host: Alexander Mockett
Info: This guided walk gives participants the space to step away from the noise, slow down, and actually process what’s been introduced so far. Set across the grounds of Post Oak Lodge, this experience is designed to help you move from hearing concepts to applying them. As you walk, you’ll be prompted to reflect on how these ideas show up in your personal life, your leadership, and your environment—identifying where you’re aligned, where you’re not, and what needs to shift moving forward. This isn’t downtime. It’s where the work starts to become yours.
🕑: 11:40 AM - 12:15 PM
From Insight to Action: Integration Lab
Host: Carrie Nitz
Info: This session takes the insights from the morning and puts them under pressure, where they actually matter. In the Integration Lab, participants will work through real-world scenarios they are likely to encounter in their environments, from moments of tension and miscommunication to disengagement and escalation. Instead of defaulting to привычные reactions, you’ll apply the frameworks and lenses introduced earlier–examining what’s happening beneath the surface and choosing a more aligned response. This is where concepts turn into capability, and where you begin to build confidence in how to show up differently when it counts.

The Life of an Educator: Habits, Fatigue, Burnout
Host: Carrie Nitz
Info: This session takes a real look at the habits, environments, and expectations that quietly drain educators over time, and why pushing harder isn’t the solution. Connecting back to Camp 1 and Relational Intelligence, we explore how fatigue is often the result of misalignment, not lack of effort, and how the environments we operate in either reinforce burnout or create the conditions for sustainability. You’ll examine the habits you’ve built, the standards you’re operating from, and how goal and environment priming can either work against you or for you.
🕑: 02:00 PM - 03:45 PM
Aligned Under Pressure: Low Ropes & Team Challenges
Host: Ayden Fowler
Info: It’s easy to talk about communication, trust, and alignment in a controlled setting. It’s much harder to maintain them when there’s pressure, uncertainty, and other people involved. This session puts participants into real-time team challenges designed to surface the exact dynamics we’ve been discussing—how you communicate, how you respond under stress, how you lead, follow, and adapt in the moment. Through low-ropes elements and collaborative problem-solving, you’ll experience how quickly patterns show up and how those patterns impact the group.
🕑: 03:45 PM - 04:15 PM
Reset & Connect
Info: Throughout the experience, scheduled breaks are built in to give participants time to reset mentally, process what they’ve just engaged in, and connect with others in a more informal setting. These moments are an opportunity to continue conversations, reflect on key insights, and create space before moving into the next phase of the day. When used well, these breaks help maintain energy, deepen relationships, and keep the experience from becoming overwhelming.
🕑: 04:15 PM - 05:00 PM
Own the Shift: After Action Reflection
Host: Kurt Wismer
Info: This session is designed to help you step back and evaluate not just what you did, but how you showed up throughout the day. Using an After Action Review framework, you’ll reflect on the patterns that surfaced during the team challenges, the insights gained from earlier sessions, and how those moments connect to your real-world environment. This is where you move from awareness to responsibility—identifying what needs to change, what you’re committed to doing differently, and how you will carry that forward beyond this experience. Without this step, the day becomes a memory. With it, it becomes a turning point.

Close the Loop: Fireside Connection
Info: The most meaningful conversations rarely happen in structured sessions, they happen in spaces where people can slow down and be real. This optional fireside gathering at Post Oak Lodge creates that space. Designed to close out the day, this experience invites participants to step away from formal roles and connect as people–sharing insights, stories, and reflections from the day in a more relaxed and open environment. There’s no agenda, no pressure, and no expectation, just an opportunity to be present, build genuine connection, and end the day with intention.
