You program the code, and the computer converts it into beats, melodies and more, which you can adjust in real time and hear immediately. At the end of the course you’ll be acquainted with technologies from modern electronic music and will have discovered how you can compose music with algorithms.
About the workshop leader
Timo Hoogland is a digital artist, live coder, music technologist and teacher. He creates electronic music and algorithmic audiovisual installations. In 2019 he graduated from the Master of Music at the HKU, where he developed the live coding tool Mercury. Timo organizes meet-ups, workshops and algorithms with Netherlands Coding Live and teaches creative coding and sound design at the HKU.
