Join us for a presentation by Jack E. Fryar, Jr on his NEW book “When the British Came: Revolution in the Cape Fear, 1765-1782” where he’ll explore how North Carolina played a pivotal role in the struggle for American independence, and how the Cape Fear region was ground zero in the rebellion against British rule. Presentation begins at 12:00 pm followed by book signing. About the Book:
The 250th anniversary of the American Revolution is just two years away. North Carolina played a pivotal role in the struggle for American independence, and the Cape Fear region was ground zero in the rebellion against British rule in North Carolina. Historians say the famous battles of the Revolutionary War were fought in the North, but the decisive battles were fought in the South. The Cape Fear region was a central theater of that struggle for freedom..
