REVOLT transforms Brighton venues into spaces of solidarity, amplifying emerging artists to raise crucial funds for medical and healthcare relief in Palestine.
What's happening in Gaza is not just a crisis, it is the destruction of an entire society.
For more than two years, Israel's military campaign has created a catastrophic humanitarian emergency. Since October 2023, at least 72,740 people have been killed, and more than 172,192 have been injured, the vast majority civilians, including tens of thousands of women and children. Many more deaths continue to be recorded as bodies are recovered and violence persists.
Famine-level conditions are spreading, with large numbers of children suffering from acute malnutrition and urgently needing food, clean water, and medical care. Access to essential supplies is being severely restricted. Gaza's health system has been systematically devastated: at least 94% of hospitals and healthcare facilities have been damaged or destroyed, and 735 attacks on healthcare have been documented since October 2023.
Despite global protests demanding a ceasefire, Western governments, including the UK, continue to provide weapons and political support to Israel, enabling this devastation to continue.
Humanitarian aid remains blocked or constrained, but donations to trusted medical and relief organisations are a vital lifeline. In Gaza, where people are being denied their basic rights and means to survive, every act of solidarity matters.
We're excited to be at Brighton, Hope & Ruin, with an incredible lineup:
HAWXX
HAWXX are the feral coven of queer feminist punk metal.
Annouli - lead vocals, guitar Hannah- guitar, backing vocals Jess- drums, backing vocals
"We want our music to embody feral sisterhood. To be the thread that binds us together in love and rage, holding women and our queer community at its core. Our shows are the place where this message comes alive, both on stage and within the beautiful community we have built. This band is our chaos and our catharsis. We write songs about feminist resistance, undoing oppressive beauty standards, violence against women and queer people, the unfolding ecological catastrophe, being a sensitive lil soul but also a norty gremlin. It is our aim to be a part of transforming the rock and metal scene, and both Hannah and Annouli were nominated by Metal Hammer as guitarists most likely to change the world."
SHLUG
The death-coaster that is SHLUG, are the unmusical bone saw of mechanical dissonances and distortions with a dubious and violent soundscape prepared to make your eardrums shatter and bleed.
The noisy cutthroat non barbershop outfit from Cardiff creates an industrial atmosphere that will evoke primal instincts to its captivated audience, turning a venue into a pit of rabid dogs.
Dogviolet
Inspired by the resilience of wildflowers and what they can tell us about humanity, Dogviolet channel Mother Nature to tell stories spanning social injustice, familial challenges, sapphic desire and the power of community. Blending grunge, goth and 90s rock influences, the London-based 4-piece deliver chorus-drenched dissonant guitars and weaving rhythms offset by strong resonant vocals, delicate harmonies and sharp spoken word.Dogviolet was formed by partners Naz Toorabally (lead vocals, guitar) and Ella Patenall (lead guitar, vocals) who have been creating music together since meeting at school. They are completed by Lauren Allpress on drums and Margot Cintract on bass.
