About this Event
Revive: A Dove’s Song is an awareness-raising event dedicated to honoring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (#MMIW). Through playback theater, poetry, story sharing & sound healing, this event will raise awareness & amplify voices. We come together to witness, remember, and rise in solidarity.
This unique event blends:
✨ Welcome – illuminating our shared connections and lived experiences - Led by Maria Mellano
✨ Playback Theater – transforming personal stories into embodied performance - Featuring the Heart to Heart San Diego Playback Performance Troupe
✨ Sound Healing – offering vibrational restoration for grief, remembrance, and renewal facilitated by Olivia Mick
✨ Poetry & Spoken Word – giving voice and rhythm to stories too often silenced - presenting Raquel Carrillo’s original poem, A Dove’s Song, honoring the life of Emily Pike. Raquel Carrillo is the creator of Strongbow Creations, which was founded in 2020. Raquel is a descendant of the Acjachemen Nation, based out of San Juan Capistrano, California. Her artwork is designed to hold spiritual significance, symbolic of the soul.
Together, we will weave story sharing, expressive art, and ritual into a living memorial that calls forth awareness, healing, and collective action.
Proceeds from this event will benefit organizations and initiatives addressing the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women and supporting impacted families and communities.

What people are saying about REVIVE:
"I'm still feeling all of the blissful energy of your "Revive" event. Your attention to detail made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The day flowed seamlessly and was a wonderful reset for me. Sandy's yoga class was suitable for all levels. Listening to Adrienne Nims playing the flute and sax sent my soul soaring! Olivia's himalayan bowls on the lawn with the sounds of peacocks and palm trees blowing in the wind were a perfect way to end the day! I know that I will sleep well tonight! Thank you for being a beacon of light in our community."
