Day 2 of The Rest Rail's Black Pride Weekend Line-Up
About this Event

Show up to Tiki Rock on Saturday afternoon ready to get down at THE TURNUP, which is, as its name suggests, a turnup dance party, designed to make the people sweat.

Now if you missed June 6, you better ask somebody! We have heard the demands and we are running it back!

Expect: a raucous, joyous, queer af time!

Rebel.lioN is a genderqueer, African American artist—multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, rapper, DJ, and producer—carving soundscapes from memory, movement, and resistance. Born of rhythm and raised in reverence, Rebel’s music is where history breathes and the beat becomes a language of survival.

DJ Gasolina is a DJ and Creator/Founder of Cannabis Brand Ultra Premium Gas. This Puerto Rican Queer DJ is generally open-format but finds themselves mostly reading the room--checking the temperature with Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, House and more.

DJ WhySham is a 5x Boston Music Award nominee, Boston Legacy FC Official MatchDay DJ, founder of Boston Got Next Entertainment, and a proud voice “From The 617 To Your BackYard.” A Recording Academy Voting Member (Class of ’23), WhySham is an accomplished DJ and event curator with a diverse portfolio spanning music, sports, and community events.

BAD COMRADE PRINT will be out front creating live custom merch orders: t-shirts, hats, notebooks, you name it!

What's happening the rest of the weekend?

We start our Black Pride weekend off with THE GATHERING, a dive into culture and connection. The curated community space at our beloved Just Bookish will include opportunities to create, to express, and to continue building Black LGBTQ+ community in Boston. Expect: music, activities, local vendors, live printing. Come through to ground yourself, connect, and buy Black.

Sunday brings us to THE FINALE and a soulful afternoon at D16 which will be transformed into a crimson oasis, prime for intimacy building, including a Queer Cruise, our amazing pole performers, more vendors, and a surprise guest!
