Our theme for this month is Gothic Apothecary! We’re kicking off the beginning of creepy, ghoulish, gothic season. If you’d like to participate, here are a few ways to do that:
- Wear your best creepy or gothic attire. Think Addams Family, Munsters, Edgar Allen Poe.
- Bring your Halloween costume! (please make sure they’re safe to dance in)
- Think of a “potion” that makes up your dancing. For example: 1 part Lindy, one part Tango, three parts goblin energy, and a dash of glitter.
- Dance with someone you haven't danced with in a while!
While we search for a new permanent home, we are rotating through the homes of several gracious hosts.
This month we will be at Alyssa & David's house!

COVID POLICY
See our full written policy here.
This event is:
- COVID Vaccinations: REQUIRED
- Rapid Test: REQUIRED
- Masking: OPTIONAL (but welcomed)
We are choosing to have masking optional while supplementing with rapid testing. We believe that this will provide an environment that balances the latest covid science with dancer comfort.
We now require the latest Fall 2023 booster ONLY. We do not require any previous vaccinations. If you do not have this vaccination, you are welcome but must mask for the duration of the event.
See our full policy for details.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
It takes a lot of work to run an event, and we couldn't do it without volunteer support! If you'd like to help make the dance a success, here are some ways you can do that:
- Sign up for a volunteer ticket (door shift, setup shift, teardown shift).
- Stay for 15m after the event and help carry decorations.
- Intentionally help welcome a new person who you've never danced with.
If you have interest in contributing in a more substantial way, we are looking for people who we can occasionally call on for bigger jobs! We maintain a list of volunteers who we reach out to from time-to-time when we have one-off larger asks. You don't need to accept every (or even most) of these requests to be a part of the list. To join, either:
- Check the "I'm interested in volunteering in bigger ways to help the event" checkbox when you sign-up for any ticket, or
- Reach out to us on Facebook and express your interest.
And remember - you don't need to help every time to be a big help! If everyone volunteered once every few months, we'd accomplish everything we hope for and more!
REFUNDS
Our philosophy is to encourage people to stay home if you're sick. We will be happy to refund your ticket if any of the following are true:
- You're feeling sick, unwell, or have any doubts that you're contagious (with anything).
- You've been knowingly or likely exposed to COVID, or have been in a high-risk situation for COVID.
- You actively have COVID, or any other contagious ailment.
Please contact us at least one hour before the event.
Please read our entire code of conduct here. By attending this dance, you agree to adhere and uphold our code of conduct.
We believe in making our dance financially accessible, taking a "pay what you can" model. Our "General Admission" tickets are our break even cost. We have tickets available at a lower cost for those who need them.
Volunteer Tickets
We have volunteer tickets available for setup before the event, door shifts during, and tear down after!
Donations
To offset our Accessibly Priced tickets we have Benevolent Sponsor tickets, which directly go to enabling more of our community to attend our dances.
We do our best to make this dance inclusive and accessible. If you have any concerns about accessibility, please fill out this and direct message Avery (Kelly) Mack with any questions. Please reach out to Eliza Wilder or Alyssa Manning with any other concerns.
PHOTO RELEASE
See full photo release text here.
We sometimes have professional photographers, and other delightful photo moments. But we want to be respectful of your privacy. By attending this event, you must agree to the photo release - but you can elect to not have photos taken of you. When purchasing a ticket, you may elect to not have us release your photos and will wear a provided wristband indicating such.
