Kirtan is the ancient Yogic practice of call-and-response chanting. It has been scientifically proven to benefit us physically, mentally, and emotionally. Douglas Johnson’s Cosmic Kirtan Band combines this practice with music inspired by the '60s and '70s psychedelic movement to create a mind-expanding, out-of-this-world experience like no other. Join us for a fun and unforgettable evening of song, dance, and community.
Yoga teacher and lifelong musician Douglas Johnson E-RYT 500 has studied and played Kirtan with David Durga Das Newman, Jai Uttal, Sean Johnson & The Wild Lotus Band, and Mirabai Moon. He has also studied Vedic mantras with internationally acclaimed author and teacher Russill Paul and recently got certified in Gong Yoga Therapy by Yogi Mehtab Benton (Kundalini Yoga).
