A History Week 2026 Talk
About this Event

Come and join the Curatorial team for an exploration of the Anzac Memorial's bas reliefs.

Uncover the hidden stories behind Rayner Hoff's beautiful designs that surmount the east and west sides of the building. Each of these bronze panels measures 32 feet long and depicts the Eastern and Western Fronts respectively without heroics or pathos.

The Curatorial team will explore the stories depicted and give audiences a rare opportunity to view some of the artifacts in the Memorial's collection that relate to the bas reliefs. These artifacts will be on display later in the year in our new temporary exhibition so this is your opportunity to get an early preview before the rest of the public.

This History Week talk will occur in the Anzac Memorial's Auditorium located on the Lower Ground Level. Entry is via the Liverpool Street entrance.

You can find our other History Week offering here.

A hearing loop is available in the Auditorium and the space is physically accessible.
