The Portal and Cleo Qupid are teaming up to bring Utica something bold, playful, and transformative: an 8-week immersive series exploring the art of burlesque.
Burlesque is more than feathers and sequins — it’s history, character, community, and the courage to embody your alter ego. In this series we’ll explore movement, body awareness, persona, props, and costuming, with the option to step into the spotlight during a live showcase at the end.
Cleo Qupid is a seasoned burlesque performer and cabaret show producer in the Utica and Little Falls areas. Known for her creativity, stage presence, and ability to hold an inclusive, empowering space, Cleo brings both artistry and heart to her teaching. She’ll guide you through burlesque history, character development, and performance skills — supporting you in building confidence, community, and your own unique expression.

Investment Options:
All-In (Best Value): $300 → 8 classes, one-on-one guidance, and showcase participation.
Two-Part Path: $135 upfront (first 3 weeks) + $225 continuation (remaining 5 weeks + showcase).
