The Bucktown Classic is more than an event....it's a homecoming.
For generations, families and friends from Bristol's historic Five Points/Johnson Court communities came together to celebrate life, culture, and community. What many remember as the Black Festival later became known as Day in the Park....a tradition built on laughter, fellowship, great food, live music, games, and unforgettable memories.
Our mission is to bring that spirit back.
The Bucktown Classic is a celebration of our past while building a brighter future. We honor the rich history of our community while creating a space where everyone, regardless of race, background, or neighborhood, can come together in unity.
We believe every community deserves to experience love, light, and life. Through family fun, local vendors, entertainment, and meaningful connections, we're restoring a tradition that reminds us what happens when a community comes together.
This isn't just about remembering where we've been.
It's about creating new memories, strengthening relationships, and passing a legacy on to the next generation.
