A Weighted Remorse, due out on September 13, 2024, through Imperial / Republic Records, is the fifth self-penned album in Smith's discography since the pandemic in 2020, following the successful releases of Giving Up on Quitting (2020), What the Walls Cannot See (2021), Americana Drugs (2022), and A Nightly Consequence (2023). This newest body of work by Smith expands on the rock sounds and guitar prowess he’s been cultivating over the years, bringing his Americana blues roots into the realm of psychedelic shoegaze rock.
