Retro Improv Jam – A Playful, No-Spectators Practice Session for Performers 40 and Older!

The Retro Improv Jam is a fun, inclusive space for performers 40+ to connect, practice, and grow in the world of improv! Whether you grew up on VHS tapes, dial-up internet, or your favorite mixtapes, this jam is all about having a blast with fellow improvisers in a no-pressure, no-spectator environment.

Hosted by 80s Kids Comedy, Houston’s Gen X comedy troupe, this jam welcomes performers of all experience levels—from those just starting out to seasoned veterans. If you're ready to practice, take risks, and connect with others through improv, this is your chance to play! And remember: no spectators—everyone gets in on the fun!

REQUIREMENTS

• Warm-up starts at 4:00pm. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the Jam starts.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• You must have a ticket to attend. Please email [email protected] to cancel your ticket if you are unable to attend.
• All participants must have a completed Releases & Acknowledgements document on file.
• All participants must follow all policies of the Station Theater Handbook & Code of Conduct.
