Retro Couture 10th Year Anniversary Screening at Wolfson Archives, Downtown Miami - Art Basel 2026
Retro Couture explores the world of fashion in Miami as told through five local pioneers in the industry inspired by vintage pieces. The documentary takes a look at Miami's history as a clothing manufacturer, and touches on it's future as the next fashion capital of the world. Directed by Christopher Rapalo.
Join us for a special Q&A with Director Christopher Rapalo and Lauren Arkin of , Best Of Miami 2026 winner Q&A moderated by directly following the screening.
Christopher Rapalo is a filmmaker from Miami, FL with a passion for photography, fashion, and music. His debut documentary 'Retro Couture,' premiered at the Miami Fashion Film Festival where it won Best Film "Audience Award' and was also a Best Documentary nominee in 2016. The film won at in 2016, and has screened at numerous international film festivals in , Brusels, and Santiago de Chile. Rapalo began his professional film career through his digital production agency, Third Dream Media, through which he has co-hosted panels with Dell and co-produced events during Art Basel Miami. Join us in person for a special screening at as we celebrate 10 years of Retro Couture!
