Retirement Village roadshow - Port Macquarie

This presentation offers an opportunity for local retirement village operators and residents to meet with our Fair Trading team to discuss how we can support them.

The Retirement Village Operator session (9.30am -10.30am) will offer advice on topics including:

• Obligations in relation to budgets, asset management plans and exit entitlements
• What to expect from an audit
• How to access Fair Trading’s mediation service 
• What to know about the new information sharing requirements and how to use the Retirement Villages Digital Portal to comply with these obligations. 

The Retirement Village Resident session (11am - 12pm) will offer advice to current and future residents on topics including:

• What your rights and obligations are when living in a retirement village  
• What to consider when choosing a retirement village – costs, contracts, waiting lists and legal and financial advice
• What to consider when leaving a retirement village.  

Note: you will select your session when you register.
