CONFERENCE: 'RETHINKING MUSLIM INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN AN EMERGING MULTIPOLAR WORLD'
Date: Saturday 29th June 2024
Time: 9am - 6pm
Venue: Birbeck College, London
The old global order is changing and we are now witnessing the emergence of a multipolar world order. Whether one takes Professor John Mearsheimer's realist school of thought, or the assertiveness of India's Subrahmanyam Jaishankar or the Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dugin's Fourth Political Theory and global multipolarity seriously, or see the future through Kishore Mahbubani, the world by 2050 will not be the same. The question now remains, how will the Muslim world react to the changing realities and the opportunities available and what a post liberal world order could look like. In this one day intensive conference, we will seek to address some of these questions and the possibilities that be could realized.
