We will be teaching our Midwifery led resuscitation of the newborn. All aspects of NRP- LMA, I/O, UVC and med administration will be covered. Content in addition to NRP to include introduction of T-Piece resuscitators and why they matter, EMS collaboration and transfer scenarios, trauma based debriefing, and resuscitation in place. Instructor is a community based midwife with experience in EMSIndividual practice needs and scenarios are assessed and developed with community focus. Equipment, drills, and setups unique to community birth settings drive the course.
Our goal is for each learner to feel confident with both ventilation and the advanced skills, and we have found that this takes time to achieve.
