After decades devoted to career, family, faith, and life in Windsor, Gene returns to visual art with a body of work rooted in landscape, texture, renewal, and creative rebirth.
Gene began his formal art education at the University of Windsor while working full-time at Ford, later continuing his studies at the University of Western Ontario under influential Canadian artists Patterson Ewen and Ed Zelenak. Their influence can still be felt in his approach to surface, material, and landscape.
Resurrection reflects Gene’s return to painting and drawing after years away from visual art. The work explores the beauty, power, and fragility of creation through expressive landscapes, layered surfaces, and personal symbolism.
