Often Seen Rarely Spoken (OSRS) is a five-person art & mural
collective established in 2016. We are a group of close friends,
bound by our shared passion for creating. Recently we’ve
focused on bringing the elements we love from our mural work
into our studio practices. In 2023 we started developing this new
body of work that explores our aesthetic tastes and merges our
interests in graphic design, street art, and painting.
For this series, we’ve created paintings that reimagine traditional
still life art by juxtaposing found objects with bold flat colors and
playful shapes. The objects we highlight—some nostalgic, others
mundane—are reinterpreted in new ways that feel both fresh and
surreal. Drawing on our knowledge of color theory, digital
processes, and design principles, we create these visually
engaging compositions. The result is this collection of vibrant,
abstract scenes that invite the viewer to look deeper into the
ordinary.
