About this Event

The Restoring Freedom Summit is ideal for Mental Health Professionals, Medical Providers, Law Enforcement, First Responders, Clergy, Counselors, Survivors and their supportive friends and family.

The Summit is sponsored by the University of Utah’s College of Social Work, Gender Based Violence Consortium and The Women's Resource Center, plus The Healing Center for Complex Trauma, Holding out HELP, & ReVEST Medical Experts.

This is a groundbreaking training event where the topics of human trafficking, ritual abuse and resulting Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) & trauma will be addressed in a comprehensive way.

Breakout session topics include:

  • Defining human trafficking
  • Defining ritualistic abuse
  • Understanding DID created through RA
  • Neurodynamics of RA on a developing mind
  • Navigating complex trauma symptoms
  • Strategies to engage a survivor on their journey of healing
  • Vicarious and secondary trauma for service providers
  • Impact of Memory Controversy on Survivors
  • Healthcare screening for human trafficking for early intervention
  • A Comprehensive Response to Exploitation for Healthcare
  • Coordinating resources for care
  • Impact on families
  • Use of psychedelics in treating complex trauma

CEU & CME credits will be available as well as opportunity to network with other professionals.
