Restorative Yoga, Sound Bath & Iced Tea Circle
A deeply restful experience of supported, mostly supine poses paired with gentle sound vibrations to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind — inviting you to simply be, exactly as you are
Join Singing Bowls of the Rockies, restorative yoga instructor 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐳𝐚, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐆𝐢𝐠𝐢 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐃, for an evening designed to help the body soften, the mind slow down, and the nervous system fully unwind.
This class is an invitation to step out of the mindset of self-improvement and into simple presence. The experience offers space to rest exactly as you are — without pressure to change, perform, or achieve.
Restorative yoga uses fully supported, mostly supine postures held for several minutes at a time to allow the body to release tension and the nervous system to shift out of stress mode. With minimal movement and no strain, the practice encourages deep physical and mental unwinding.
As the body settles, a gentle sound bath is layered in using resonant tones and vibrations. These frequencies can help guide the brain into slower, more relaxed states, while the subtle vibrations are often felt throughout the body — supporting a sense of grounding, calm, and internal spaciousness.
Together, the restorative yoga and sound bath create an environment where nothing is required of you. No fixing — just rest, awareness, and the opportunity to reconnect with yourself in a quieter way.
After the experience, guests are invited to stay for a peaceful iced tea circle with herbal iced teas and gentle conversation.

Valeria Mendoza is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), certified in May 2025. Shortly after completing her training, she began offering donation-based restorative yoga classes through Think Positive Club, a nonprofit focused on mindset, community, and holistic well-being. Her teachings emphasize nervous system regulation, breath awareness, and deep rest, guiding students into a grounded and restorative experience that supports both physical and emotional balance.
When she’s not teaching, Valeria is usually doing something that keeps life interesting — playing pool in local leagues, getting outside for fresh air and a mental reset, or continuing to deepen her studies of yoga, healing, and self-awareness.

Led by Dr. Gigi Turner, PsyD, founder of Singing Bowls of the Rockies, each of her sound baths reflects her background in psychology and her carefully curated collection of instruments.
A sound bath is a meditative experience where you’re immersed in soothing sound waves from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. As you relax and listen, your brain shifts into calmer states, helping the body unwind, the mind quiet, and the nervous system settle. Many people use sound baths to ease stress, support emotional release, and reconnect with themselves.
Our sessions may include a wide variety of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chakra-tuned sets, crystal quartzophone harp, gongs, chimes, flutes, drums, handpans, kalimba, tingshas, and other traditional instruments from around the world.
𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞:
If you have any serious medical condition (i.e. metal in the body/brain injury, tinnitus, epilepsy, metal in the body, etc...) make sure you get written permission from your doctor allowing your attendance of a live sound bath. The reason being that some conditions do not take well to the strong vibrations of sound baths. Additionally, please inform Gigi of your condition before joining us at our sound bath, thank you!
