When the body rests, the body heals...Give yourself the gift of deep rest and experience the transformative effect of sound at the first of our Restorative
Yoga & Sound Healing events. Together, these practices offer you the invitation to relax, unwind and settle into a deeply nourishing space in both your mind and your body, leaving you feeling free of tension, and enveloped in a blanket of peace.
As Sue gently guides you in and out of a handful of restorative postures, each encouraging you to surrender into the support of both the earth and many comfy props, Anne and Rick will create a soothing landscape of therapeutic sound by utilizing a blend of crystal singing bowls, gongs, shaman drum and hand pans to help you slip into a state of deep release. The final 15 minutes of class is given over to a full body relaxation followed by savasana. This is the yoga you never knew you needed, beautifully enhanced by the soothing vibration of sound. Thought to help heal depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and insomnia, and to deepen meditation and spark creativity, sound bathing calms our overworked, overstimulated nervous system, and specific frequencies of sound can bring both our physical and subtle or energy bodies into a state of balance. No previous yoga experience required. Bring a yoga mat if
