In Restorative Aerial Yoga, the hammock is only about 30 cm above the floor and allows you to float gently in the restorative poses, making the experience completely unique. We use the hammock in many ways, as a kind of floating bolster, and as a whole body embrace that rocks you gently into relaxation.
The restorative, or self-healing, movements and breathing excercises, create a soft balance in the nervous system. In floating, resting poses that we remain in for some time, the body opens gently. The workshps is a mix of rest, movement meditation, and a bit of chanting (participate or just listen).
This version of Aerial Yoga is distinctly different from regular Aerial Yoga, which is
dynamic and playful, and it is also different from traditional Restorative Yoga, where you are more static. Aerial Restorative is grounding yet floating — when you are suspended in the air, you can explore tiny movements of the spine and let silence takes over your mind.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP SUITED FOR?
This meditative and calming workshop is ideal for anyone who wishes to find inner peace. You are warmly welcome whether you feel stressed, anxious, restless, or simply want to treat yourself to rest and self-care. No prior experience with Aerial Yoga or yoga is required — only a desire for calm and rest.
WHAT TO BRING
water bottle, perhaps your favorite blanket or scarf, or anything that makes the day extra comfortable for you. Please wear yoga clothes without zippers, or sharp objects that can tear the hammocks.
Tea will be served before and after the workshop.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Sisse is an experienced yoga teacher, and Aerial Yoga teacher. She loves to help her students find peace, and believes that there are many ways to get there. She also teaches regular Aerial Yoga at Rort.
