Did you know that Lewis & Clark first entered what is now Washington State on October 10, 1805 during their expedition for a Northwest Passage? In honor of this day, come be a part of the IATC”s conservation mission, in partnership with WA State Parks, to eradicate invasive plants, mainly European Holly and blackberry bushes, from Squak Mountain. Years ago there was a Holly farm in the neighborhood and because European Holly spreads well in our climate it is very prolific and eventually chokes out our Western WA native plants. We will provide know how and most tools, but this is a big project so we need your help!
