About this Event
Restart a Heart returns this October/November 2024!
Restart a Heart (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by Resuscitation Council UK which aims to increase the number of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests by helping more people learn CPR.
Survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest remain stubbornly low in the UK, with fewer than one in 10 people surviving.
This year Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is working with Magpas Air Ambulance, East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST), Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA). Together we will provide FREE life support training, including;
- Chest compressions
- Use of an automated external defibrilator (AED)
- Management of choking
- The lateral position
*This course does not provide formal certification to meet the requirements for completion of any mandatory training. The course provides training for "bystander" rescue ONLY. A certificate of ATTENDANCE may be provided.
