Opportunities to gather and rest together virtually and in-person are crucial, necessary and so beautiful. Taking time from the busy, chaotic, wildness of life to slow down and offer ourselves deep moments of healing rest are a gift and again, a necessity for our body, mind & energy. Come balance the doing with being with this effortless practice of deep rest and relaxation. It is an honor and great joy to encourage and guide others in rest. All are welcome, no experience needed.
I am super excited about this, my first in person offering since last April!
On Saturday November 16th from 7p to 9p, the eve after the November Full Beaver Moon, I will be guiding an
IN PERSON Yoga Nidra experience to Welcome Connection and Calm. Calm and Connection. Roshi Joan Halifax recently said, "When we connect with each other in community, we become one body, one being as we meet the incredible complexities of life and be grounded in our actions that are kind, brave, compassionate and balanced." May it be so.
Connection to our dense and subtle layers of Self, connection to one another, connection to rest and non-doing and calm and what needs healing and attention. Calming the body, mind, energy field, and the nervous system that gets us ramped up sometimes and disconnected from our breath and presence. Inviting calm in.
Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is an effortless guided meditation practice that takes you through the layers of the Self, states of sleep and levels of our sub/consciousness. This beautiful practice offers so many benefits.
The investment is a sliding scale of $27-67. Pay what feels good to you on the scale. I have one full scholarship and one 1/2 scholarship. Reach out directly ([email protected]) if you are interested in a scholarship opportunity.
We gather at 7 Notes Natural Health off Packard at the edge of Ypsi/A2. More specifics upon registration.

Thank you! with care, jess
"Yogis say that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as three hours of sleep. This is because we consciously accelerate access to the same slow brain wave stats we experience in sleep. These states are deeply restorative to the body. Yoga Nidra can be used as an antidote to sleep deprivation, insomnia, stress, anxiety, exhaustion. These restorative effects of Yoga NIdra are exponentially increased through the profound release of identification with the mind that is constantly and continuously hemorrhaging our life energy. The more we rest, as the expanded, unfettered Self, we don't just experience the effects of Yoga Nidra for an hour or two. The bodymind becomes modified and entrained to notice this underlying sense of peace ALL the time" Kamini Desai). Whoa right?!
