Responsible Service of Food (RSF)

Use hygienic practices for food safety (SITXFSA001).

This short course provides you with current and relevant skills preparing you for or enhancing existing employment in the Hospitality Industry.

Australian Food Safety Standards require that food handlers have relevant knowledge and skills in food safety and food hygiene to carry out their work.

Obtaining your RSF will assist with employment opportunities when working with food in cafes and restaurants, hotels, events, retail outlets, food trucks and kitchens. It will also be relevant for those working in the manufacturing, processing or transportation of food.

This course will cover the importance of food safety, serving and storing food, dealing with danger foods, personal hygiene, safety requirements for commercial food operations and pest control.
