📌 Prerequisite: Must be 16 years of age or older
🧯 Course Overview:
Responding to Food Truck Emergencies provides emergency responders with the knowledge and skills needed to safely manage incidents involving food trucks. Students will learn about the history and operation of the food truck industry, permitting and inspection requirements, applicable NFPA codes, fuel systems, and auxiliary equipment commonly found on mobile food service units. The course examines common causes of food truck fires, associated hazards, and effective emergency response strategies. Emphasis is placed on responder safety, hazard recognition, incident management, and fire suppression techniques to ensure safe and effective operations during food truck emergencies. Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to identify risks, apply relevant regulations, and respond confidently to food truck-related incidents.
