This training equips multidisciplinary professionals with the skills to effectively support children and families involved in adoption, foster care, and kinship placements. Participants will explore how trauma, loss, and attachment disruption impact behavior, emotional regulation, and caregiver dynamics.Using Oklahoma-specific case examples, the training introduces adoption-competent assessment strategies, a structured MDT crisis response model (Stabilization, Assessment, Intervention), and guidance for making appropriate referrals to specialized services. Emphasis is placed on distinguishing trauma-driven behaviors, strengthening team coordination, and supporting caregivers to reduce placement disruption and promote long-term permanency.

The trainer will use subject matter expertise and Oklahoma-specific case studies to:
