Resonate: Matchmaking & The Psychology of Friendship

This evening is the first event in our Resonate Lecture Series, a gathering for thoughtful singles interested in connection, curiosity, and meaningful conversation. The event combines a short lecture on Psychology of Friendship with the Resonate matching experience.

3. Talk and discussion with Dr. Jaimie Krems on the psychology of friendship

Before the event, all attendees will complete a guided compatibility interview through the website.

This interview explores personality, values, interests, and relationship dynamics in more depth than traditional dating profiles. Our matching system then identifies people who may share meaningful compatibility.

At the event, you'll meet those matches through a series of small group conversations and curated one-on-one introductions.

Friendship and the Science of Human Connection

Dr. Krems is a researcher at UCLA studying friendship, cooperation, and the psychology of human relationships.

Her talk will explore the surprising science behind how and why friendships form.

The lecture will be followed by a short Q&A discussion before the matchmaking portion of the evening begins.

8:00 PM — Lecture and discussion with Dr. Krems
8:45 PM — Curated matchmaking rounds
9:30 PM — Event concludes

To participate in the matchmaking portion of the evening, all attendees must complete the Resonate compatibility interview before the event.

After purchasing a ticket, you will receive in your confirmation a link to the interview and an access code.

The interview takes approximately 20 minutes and must be completed at least 48 hours before the event so matches can be prepared.
