Maria Rud, who lives and works in Edinburgh, has been described as ‘one of the most significant figures on the creative arts scene in Scotland today’ . Apart from being a painter, she has also worked in fashion design, book illustration, television, film, stained glass, ceramics and art glass. Maria’s extensive and inspirational body of work, built up over three decades of ceaseless application, echoes seemingly ancient themes while resonating with the present world. She developed “The AniMotion Show” which brings together painting and music in real time. The concept was launched by the National Museum Of Scotland in collaboration with Evelyn Glennie and has since toured in the USA, China and Europe.

David Heath is a Manchester born flautist and composer whose works span across genres, namely jazz, classical, rock and funk. He began playing modern jazz at the age of 17 and shortly after composed ‘Out of the Cool’, a highly regarded piece ‘written to be enjoyed’. David went on to explore using aspects of classical, funk and rock music as he worked with a range of inspiring artists such as James Galway, Nigel Kennedy and Evelyn Glennie. A featured artist on BBC2’s Mad About Music, Heath also records across genres, performing on his Cooper flute, “Excalibur.”

Jack Oades is an organist, composer, conductor and tenor. He commenced his appointment as Organist and Master of the Music at St Giles’ Cathedral in January 2025. Previously, Jack has held posts in all over the British Isles, including Dublin, Exeter, London and the Isle of Man, and he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists. A prize-winning composer, many of his works are published and performed all over the world, including broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 & 4. Past commissions include the JAM on the Marsh Festival, Choir & Organ magazine, and the Whitgift Foundation.
