Resin Pouring Class for Beginners in Wilmington, NC

This resin art class is for beginners. This class is a great way to connect with others whether it be family or friends. It will be held outdoors, under a tent, weather permitting. We will be using, items such as glitter, mica powders and resin pigments, artificial flowers should you choose. Each person will be able to make their own set of 4 thin coasters, or 2 thick coasters. In addition, there is a coaster stand that can also be used for an additional charge of $10.00.

In this class you will learn how to use and to blend colors using mica powder and also resin pigments and embellish the coasters with sand, glitter or small rocks. I will teach you step by step how to make a beautiful set of coasters for your home or for as a gift item. As with anything new there is a step-by-step system needed to help create a remarkable outcome. Whimsy Rae's Artistry will teach you how to home in on your creative side and use some of your favorite colors at the same time.

Please bring with you the following items:

1. Surgical masks 2 preferred.
2. Apron, one that you may want to dispose of should any resin get on it.
3. A box of baby wipes that can be purchased at any local store.
4. Gloves, if you are allergic to plastic gloves, latex gloves must be purchase by the student.

This helps to keep the cost down and allow for other students to continue to take future classes. Age limit is for 12 and up, must be accompanied by parent. After the class is completed, you must allow 24-48 hours for the resin to dry depending on the temperature and if the sun is shining. This will allow for the resin to harden within the day. As the weather gets cooler, the resin art class may be cancelled until the spring to protect us from the cold. However, should the weather be at least 68 degrees and sunny the resin art classes will continue.

Should there be a cancellation the class will simply be rescheduled at a later date, near or close to the original time, that will best suit the people enrolled. I will reach out to you through the email that was provided and or through the Eventbrite app.

Whimsy Rae's Artistry, follows the refund policy of the Eventbrite app. Should there be a change in plans or a refund request. Please follow the instructions and stipulations detailed by the Eventbrite app.

Shipping is available for your convenience if you live outside of the Wilmington area and will be an additional charge based upon weight. The completed coasters will remain with Whimsy Rae's at inside her studio. Arrangements can be made to mail your artwork to your home or business address. You must provide that information after the class is preferred. At which point you may contact me to pick up your work by that following week.

The intermediate classes will use more volume of resin, to fill up the mold. you will be given a choice to make a medium-sized, and decorative items, such as cell a teddy bear cell phone holder, or large and small leaves, or a set of jewelry, you will learn better use of the colorants and embellishments to make designs of your choosing.

The advanced class will consist of making a small round end table out of resin. This class can only be completed by attending the other 2. It will also require the most resin. Class size is limited to 4 people per class.
